The nation's biggest automaker Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday released BS-VI adaptation of its superior compact Ignis which costs in the range of Rs 4.89-7.19 lakh. The brand new Ignis has a power unit of 1.2-litre petrol engine and comes with gearbox options manual and Auto Gear Shift (AGS), the corporate said during a statement.
"We have recognised an increasing preference for feature-loaded cars that have SUV-like high seating position and dominant road presence. We are confident that the all-new IGNIS with its SUV design and spacious interiors will appeal to the purchasers," Kenichi Ayukawa MSI director and CEO said.
The new Ignis has four variants with manual transmission options priced within the range of Rs 4.89-6.72 lakh, and three automatic transmission (AGS) variants that are available in the range Rs 6.13- 7.19 lakh.
