MG Hector with BS6 diesel engine launched in India at Rs. 13.88 Lakhs

The Morris Garages has recently launched its Hector with BS6 compliant diesel engine in India. Initially, the MG Hector has attracted a lot of fans with its updated technology and concept of Internet Inside. Hector became popular as a family SUV. Now the Hector come up with BS6 norms in Diesel soon after its launch of BS6 Petrol version. Hector is pricing from Rs 12.73 lakhs to Rs 17.72 lakhs in India. The prices are hiked by Rs. 25000 in BS6 petrol version and Rs. 44000 hikes in BS6 diesel version. The prices are in effect from April 1st. The variants remain the same such as Hector style, Hector Super, Hector Smart, Hector Sharp, and the Hector fuel economy remains the same on an average from 14.16 to 17.41 KMPL.


Below are the engine options we get in MG Hector -


  • 2.0-litre FCA sourced Diesel engine with 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque.

  • 1.5-litre turbocharged Petrol engine with 141 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque.

  • 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

The MG Hector continues to provide all the features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera and electronic stability control also on offer is a 10.4-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System with Apple Car Play and Android auto and connected tech with voice commands, Panoramic Sunroof, Cruise Control, powered driver's seat and an Infinity sound system.


The MG had already showcased the 6-seater version of the Hector, expected to be named as Hector plus. It will be going on sale later this year and next of that the next-generation Hector with 7-seater option will be launched a little later of this year soon after hector plus launch. The MG Hector continues to rival with Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, and Mahindra XUV 500.
