US Automaker Tesla Inc successfully sold 10,160 cars in China in March 2020, its highest ever monthly sales within the world's largest automobile market, the China coach Association (CPCA) said on Thursday.
Elon Musk's company, which aims to provide 150,000 Model 3 sedans from its $2 billion Shanghai factory, bought around 30% of the battery electric vehicles sold in China, Cui Dongshu, CPCA Secretary-General, stated on an online briefing. Tesla offered round 3,900 units in February, up from 2,620 motors in January, CPCA information showed. CPCA uses a special counting approach than Tesla's deliveries.
Overall coach income in March had been down 40.8% from a year earlier.
